Privacy notice
This notice covers the Player24 informational website and enquiries sent to BMT Sports. It does not describe a future public gameplay service.
Who is responsible
BMT Sports Pty Ltd (registration 2023/175605/07), 33 Athens Road, Table View, Cape Town 7441, South Africa, is responsible for this website. Contact info@player24.org about privacy.
Information involved
When you visit, hosting and network providers process technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as your IP address, requested page and browser connection information. If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and any information you choose to include.
How information is used
Technical information is used to deliver the pages, maintain security and diagnose service problems. Enquiry information is used to respond, manage the matter you raise and meet applicable legal obligations. Please share only information relevant to your enquiry.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set analytics or advertising cookies, use behavioural tracking, or provide an account or contact form. Fonts and page assets are served with the website. We do not enable optional visitor-access logs for this release. Hosting providers still process technical information to operate their services.
Service providers and locations
Amazon Web Services hosts the website, with origin files in Cape Town and content delivered through a global network. Requests may therefore be processed outside South Africa. Cyberspace Creation provides development and technical operations on BMT Sports’ behalf. BMT Sports owns the info@player24.org mailbox, which is provided by domains.co.za. The email provider processes correspondence sent to us. Service-provider access must be limited to the relevant purpose and applicable safeguards.
Retention and security
BMT has adopted a policy to delete routine resolved enquiries within 12 months after closure, using monthly reviews. Jordan is responsible for classification and documented exceptions; Cyberspace Creation is responsible for setup. Monthly reviews are carried out manually. Records required for legal obligations, contracts, disputes or access requests follow their applicable retention requirements.
The email provider’s terms permit deletion of server mail older than 90 days and state that mail is deleted when service ends. This is not a guaranteed deletion schedule or an expiry period for every backup. BMT must preserve still-required records independently of reliance on the live mailbox, with authorised access and applicable retention controls. Internal access is restricted to authorised individuals. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may contact us to ask about information we hold about you, request access or correction, request deletion where applicable, or object to processing where the law provides that right. We may need proportionate verification before disclosing information. Some records may need to be retained under applicable law.
You may also raise a concern with South Africa’s Information Regulator. Our PAIA page and signed manual explain how to request access to BMT Sports records and contact the Information Officer.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice if the website or its processing changes. Any future public account or gameplay service will require privacy information appropriate to that service.
